15 Minutes of Fame is a conceptual trophy commissioned by Bratislava Design Week. The piece evokes a traditional torch with fire, yet it is made from soft silicone and incorporates a temporary, battery-powered light.
When awarded, the trophy illuminates, but its glow gradually fades over days or weeks, creating a subtle, poetic reflection on the fleeting and volatile nature of fame.
By combining familiar symbolic forms with unconventional materials and temporal functionality, the work invites viewers to contemplate the impermanence of recognition and the ephemeral quality of public attention.
