Luster is a collection of pendant lights that explores the meeting point between digital precision and the physical forces of the real world. The project investigates how gravity—often seen as an obstacle in fabrication—can become an active design tool.

Each piece begins as a carefully modelled 3D digital form, yet when printed, the molten layers of material begin to fall and collapse under their own weight, creating intricate, decorative structures that differ from the original geometry. What would normally be considered a printing error becomes the defining feature of the work.

By allowing physical laws to intervene in the digital process, Luster transforms imperfection into ornament, pushing the boundaries of 3D printing toward a new visual language—one where control and chance coexist in luminous balance.
